Matt has spent his civil service career leading and delivering transformation programmes focused on improved outcomes for citizens and the taxpayer.   Matt has experienced the department as both a customer and frontline colleague and it is this insight that drives his passion for delivering real and sustainable change which tangibly improves the lives of the 20m customers we serve. He joined the Service Modernisation Programme, part of the Cabinet Office transformation portfolio, as Senior Responsible Owner (SRO) in October 2022.  A graduate of the Major Programme Leadership Academy, his previous programme leadership roles include Programme Director for People and Location Programme SRO for the Personal Independence Payment Programme, and project managing the award winning Tell Us Once Programme.
