After successfully managing her own award-winning hairdressing business for a decade, Emma completed a 16-week intensive cyber security bootcamp, earning certifications in CISMP, ISO27001 and CompTIA Security+. Since her successful transition into cyber security, she has gained a promotion from InfoSec Governance Analyst to InfoSec Governance Specialist where she leverages her strong communication, problem-solving and teamwork skills from her previous career, whilst deepening her expertise across various cyber security domains. Alongside her day job, Emma is helping inspire and mentor other career changers and cyber enthusiasts wherever she can and also helping build the Women in Cyber Security (WiCyS) UK&I affiliate community as part of their leadership team.
